Roundabout or Signalized Intersection? Angels Camp Mobility Project Open House Today!

Angels Camp, CA ...The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), in close collaboration with the city of Angels Camp, is excited to announce a forthcoming public meeting dedicated to the Mobility Project, a key initiative aimed at addressing long-standing traffic circulation and safety concerns in the region. This invitation extends to all community members, local businesses, and media outlets to participate in a critical dialogue about the future of mobility in our area.

Event Details:

- Date: March 7

- Time: 4 pm to 8 pm

- Location: Bret Harte Multi-purpose room

The Mobility Project emerges in response to extensive studies that have identified significant traffic and safety issues along the Highway 4 and 49 corridor, particularly with the influx of hundreds of thousands of visitors annually. These concerns have prioritized the project within Caltrans' objectives, focusing on creating safer, less congested streets not just for today's generation but for future ones as well. The project's scope goes beyond Angels Camp, affecting multiple economies and communities along these vital state routes.

This initiative represents a pivotal opportunity for our community to come together, voice concerns, and contribute to a comprehensive plan that addresses both current and future mobility needs. The project underscores a collective effort to enhance the quality of life for residents, ensure the safety of our roads for businesses and visitors, and support the economic vitality of the region.

We cordially invite members of the press to share this information with the public and join us at the event. Your participation is crucial in raising awareness about the Mobility Project and its importance to our community's future. Interviews with Caltrans officials and city representatives will be available to provide further insights into the project's goals, expected outcomes, and how it will shape the landscape of transportation in Angels Camp and beyond.

The California Department of Transportation is dedicated to enhancing California's economy and livability by improving its transportation network. Caltrans manages over 50,000 miles of California's highway and freeway lanes, provides inter-city rail services, and supports public transportation across the state.

We look forward to engaging with our community and the press on March 7. Together, we can forge a path toward a more mobile, safe, and vibrant future for everyone in our region.

Event occurs on 03/07/2024 from 04:00 PM to 08:00 PM.

The one on hwy108 is great.
I love the one at 104 and Liberty Rd.

Ha ha, both have seen major accidents! Yeah let’s put in more! Maybe Caltrans should come out and drive these roads that they have posted max speeds on, not possible to do safely.

Wow! Just watched the State of the Union speech. Biden nailed it. Called out Republicans, corporations, "my predecessor", you name it. He was on point and on fire. Now if you just watch Hannity and his response you will think Joe is ready for a coffin, or the nut house. But in reality, again, he nailed it. Donald, if you are going to debate him, you'd better double up on your usual daily intake of Adderall. Sniff, sniff.

Well, let the debate begin!!! Ole Plugs was wound up and did a good job. You have to overlook the facts though. He made claims that aren't true and took credit where ever there was credit to be stolen! I still have a headache from his delivery and nonstop yelling. The democrats got more exercise tonight than they have all year with the standing ovations after every sentence. MAGA is a good thing and both sides should be together on the subject!

Ironic that a dotard would say anything about a person that makes statements that aren't true.
Donald J Trump is the epitome of one that makes statements that are not true.

Just in time for his new "team", daughter-in-law and two wannabes' to start raiding the till that is the RNC bank account. AND, to pay Trumps legal fees. Wow!! All you Calatrumplicans can expect an onslaught of new e-mails, letters & texts asking for your hard earned money to help stop the steal. YEAH RIGHT!! And the funny thing is.....................YOU'LL SEND IT!!

Cal-Trans has too much time on their hands, the signal light in SC, 49/4 is just fine, how about widening 49 from AC to SA, that road is a death trap, maybe fixing the existing potholes on said road, do something practical, if I want to play on a roundabout, the one by Chicken Ranch, or the one by Liberty are just fine, can’t wait for Chicken Ranch to get into full swing, that will be he only entrance or exit, what a s hit show that will produce!

Like there's going to be an endless stream of cars going in and out? It'll just be Valley lowlife.
Would you rather come to a complete stop for those wanting to leave? And imagine the left hand turn lane going in. No thanks.
